HOA Approved Doors
All front doors need to be installed as 'Out-Swing' per the Florida code. This is due to the potential high winds from hurricanes. You will see the terms Right-Hand and Left-Hand used with the swing direction. Looking at the door from the exterior, Right-Hand Out-Swing has the hinges on the left. Left-Hand Out-Swing has the hinges on the right. Look at your existing configuration to see what your current Out-Swing is. Some doors come with a feature called Brick-Moulding. Needing that is dependent upon your current configuration which you will need to verify. You are encouraged to use a licensed and insured contractor; that contractor should be able to get you the correct configuration.
​In-Swing doors cannot be used.

Roofing Shingles
Roofing Shingles, Drip Edge and Fascia Paint Information as of 11/11/2022
A Shadywoods Architectural Review Board request for re-roofing is required.

Include shingle manufacturer, type, and color.

Discuss shingle type and color with ARB contact.

When all is agreed upon, complete ARB form, sign and give copy to the Architectural Committee for approval.

New Roof Drip Edge and Fascia
A new roof will result in a new drip edge. It has to be painted the house trim color. The same with any replaced wood fascia. Any replaced or covered stucco that is visible should be painted the house stucco color. Be
forewarned, sometimes roofers do not paint and leave it up to
the homeowner. Find the respective paint colors near
